Our client has an immediate opportunity for a Human Resource Manager to join their team.

Wage: Negotiable depending on experience


  • Consult with and assist management and staff regarding employee relation issues
  • Promote and maintain positive communications between employees and management
  • Manage the coordination of the progressive discipline process
  • Maintain up-to-date competitive salary and benefits information and job descriptions for all classifications; conduct annual salary and benefits surveys
  • Chair social committees, as required and is responsible for the organization of social events
  • Coordinate all new employee’s orientations and facilitate the on-boarding process
  • Administer and manage recruitment and selection process
  • Coordinate annual focus groups to address all issues raised through the Employee Opinion Survey
  • Monitor and coordinate the Employee Assistance Program
  • Develop, audit and maintain all divisional policies and procedures including HSE
  • Participate in all accident investigations
  • Administer and monitor all aspects of Workplace Safety and Insurances Board Claims and modified work/return to work program
  • Effectively communicate, share information and support all departments
  • Act as back up for payroll, as required
  • Maintain confidentiality and integrity
  • Establish staffing levels within the department, ensuring all employees are appropriately selected, motivated and retained
  • Train employees on the specific job hazards
  • Perform regular formal/informal workplace inspections
  • Report all accidents/incidents and unsafe conditions/behaviour; Be involved in the accident/incident investigation process
  • Inform Management of any additional training or resources required by their employees to effectively perform their work
  • Encourage and support the Open-Door Process and the Fairness Committee


  • Post-secondary education in Human Resource Management
  • Minimum 5 years Human Resources experience, preferably in an automotive manufacturing facility
  • Health and Safety Management experience preferred
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook
  • HRIS software experience; ADP an asset
