Our client located in Windsor, Ontario has an immediate opening for a Program Manager

Responsibilities    

  • Manage the launch and implementation of the product, by ensuring customer drawings and specifications are received, recorded, and controlled
  • Coordinate weekly product launch meetings (internally and with the customer) while tracking launch progress with open issue lists and timelines
  • Coordinate with all stakeholders on new project launches, supplying prototypes to customers and changes as they arise throughout the life of the program
  • Effectively manage project scope by ensuring any changes to the scope are documented and approved
  • Coordinate initial component acquisition for production and sample runs
  • Overall, deliver each program within time, plan & budget established by the Sales Manager
  • Complete reports and documentation for meetings as required
  • Drive continuous improvement for launching products
  • Assist with various other engineering initiatives from time to time
  • Travel as required to respond to customer and plant issues
  • Responsible to manage and launch each assigned program on time and on budget.
  • Assist in the development of quality systems to satisfy customer requirements and co-ordinate the creation of all quality documentation; respond to customer’s concerns using appropriate systems (8D’s, etc.)

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Business, Technical or Engineering Discipline with 5 years of automotive manufacturing experience
  • Project Management, Product Design, injection molding and tooling experience is preferred
  • Experience with new product launches
  • Good working knowledge of APQP, process flow, FMEA, Control Plans, Gauge R&R’s & GD&T
  • Experience with injection mold tooling and machines
  • Exceptional initiative and strong leadership skills in team environment, project, time management & organization skills
  • Ability to thrive in a high pressure, demanding environment
  • Computer skills: MS Excel, MS Word, MS Power Point, and MS Project; Auto Cad or other 2/3D
  • Multiple languages
  • Supervisory/management experience
  • Automation experience, either design or building
  • Lean/Belts, Kaizen, other
  • Sales experience
