Our client has an immediate opportunity for an Assistant Warehouse Manager to join their company in Palmerston Ontario.

Salary: $75,000.00-$85,000.00 per year

Duties and Responsibilities:

Daily Management: Supervising and guiding subordinate supervisory staff, coaching team members for continuous improvement, and coordinating their efforts to achieve targets.

Operations Management: Planning, organizing, and directing operations within your scope of control.

Resource Management: Developing and implementing plans to efficiently use materials, labor, and equipment to meet production demand and customer ship targets.

Budget Adherence: Staying within the departmental budget.

Personnel Management: Interviewing, supervising, training, and evaluating employees. Resolving conflicts and motivating employees.

Quality Assurance: Ensuring the quality of production meets customer expectations.

Communication: Effectively communicating with all levels of management, including Japanese staff. Leading or participating in cross-functional teams for improvement activities.

Training: Conducting training as required, including the training of new employees.

Problem Analysis: Conducting root cause analysis for customer problems, including mixed or missed product shipments.

Continuous Improvement (Kaizen): Responsible for implementing and enforcing continuous improvement practices in your area.

Documentation: Ensuring that all relevant documentation is completed accurately and on time.

Safety: Ensuring the safety of all employees.

Productivity: Monitoring the effective use of time by team members and providing necessary support to them.

5S & 2S1Y: Implementing and enforcing 5S and 2S1Y practices.

Cost Savings: Responsible for meeting departmental cost-saving targets.

New Product Launch: Leading or participating in new product launch activities.

Other Duties: Performing any other duties assigned by the company.

Requirements:

7-10 years of experience in inventory management, preferably in a Just-in-Time environment with automotive manufacturing experience being an asset.

A university degree or college diploma in Production and Inventory Management.

Several years of supervisory experience.

Proficiency in reading and interpreting documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications like Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
