Our client located in Palmerston, Ontario has an immediate opening for a Maintenance Supervisor.


• Have relevant qualification (minimum trade or possible Associate Diploma).

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all mechanical inspection documentation on existing and new equipment.
  • Prioritize mechanical work assignments.
  • Supervise and coordinate installation, repair and inspection of mechanical equipment.
  • Organize, assign and direct day to day activities to maintenance personnel
  • Maintain a documented weekly summary of completed work.
  • Ensure all mechanical drawings and electrical drawings are complete and up-to-date
  • Plan and maintain an overtime schedule of up coming and uncompleted jobs. This schedule will be reviewed and approved by the maintenance manager.
  • Communicate with maintenance team and the department manager, on all critical equipment changes and updates.
  • Assist in the management of the preventative maintenance program.
  • Report any manpower and disciplinary actions to the department’s manager.
  • Maintain a monthly work schedule of up coming and uncompleted jobs that will be shared with all departments.
  • Provide technical advice & assistance to maintenance personnel, contractors etc.
  • Assist in developing procedures and standard maintenance practices
  • Train personnel in performance of job tasks.
  • Knowledge of applicable mechanical codes, standards and regulations.
  • Some computer knowledge is required.
  • Report any unsafe activities within the company to the maintenance manager.
  • Maintain job costing for mechanical projects, which should include components and personnel.
  • Responsible to schedule mechanical coverage for all shifts and overtime.
  • Submit daily mechanical summary to maintenance manager.
  • Work in a safe manner and maintain 5S.
