Overview
Our client located in Palmerston, Ontario has an immediate opening for a Maintenance Supervisor.
Qualifications:
• Have relevant qualification (minimum trade or possible Associate Diploma).
Duties and Responsibilities
- Responsible for all mechanical inspection documentation on existing and new equipment.
- Prioritize mechanical work assignments.
- Supervise and coordinate installation, repair and inspection of mechanical equipment.
- Organize, assign and direct day to day activities to maintenance personnel
- Maintain a documented weekly summary of completed work.
- Ensure all mechanical drawings and electrical drawings are complete and up-to-date
- Plan and maintain an overtime schedule of up coming and uncompleted jobs. This schedule will be reviewed and approved by the maintenance manager.
- Communicate with maintenance team and the department manager, on all critical equipment changes and updates.
- Assist in the management of the preventative maintenance program.
- Report any manpower and disciplinary actions to the department’s manager.
- Maintain a monthly work schedule of up coming and uncompleted jobs that will be shared with all departments.
- Provide technical advice & assistance to maintenance personnel, contractors etc.
- Assist in developing procedures and standard maintenance practices
- Train personnel in performance of job tasks.
- Knowledge of applicable mechanical codes, standards and regulations.
- Some computer knowledge is required.
- Report any unsafe activities within the company to the maintenance manager.
- Maintain job costing for mechanical projects, which should include components and personnel.
- Responsible to schedule mechanical coverage for all shifts and overtime.
- Submit daily mechanical summary to maintenance manager.
- Work in a safe manner and maintain 5S.
