Our client has an immediate opportunity for a Maintenance Supervisor to join their team.

• Engineering Degree, Industrial Mechanic or comparative experience in Supervision
• 3 to 5 years Maintenance Supervision experience
• Strong analytical skills (e.g. root cause analysis and statistical analysis)
• Strong computer skills (e.g. MS Office)
• Budget management experience
• Exceptional organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure to meet established goals/objectives
• Initiative and self-managing skills to work independently with minimal direction with the ability to effectively anticipate and solve problems as they arise
• Must be willing to work alternative shift schedules when applicable for assignments
• Experience within a unionized environment is an asset

• Supervise hourly trades personnel and outside contractors on repairs, ongoing improvements, and unplanned downtime
• Verify labor hours & materials
• Conduct Crew Meetings and coach maintenance team on leadership values and work assignments
• Ensure crews are working safely at all times, facilitate Health & Safety policies and accident investigations
• Play an integral part in food safety and internal and external audits
• Work with Engineers on major equipment modifications and new equipment installations
• Handles all emergency work (parts, people, and instructions)
• Meet monthly budget requirements
• Review job duration and resource conflicts
• Authorize Planned Work Scope Changes
• Manage carryover work (shift to shift) – set expectation with use of shift-to-shift reporting
• Coach others on proper work entry and verbalized actions.
• Generate, review and verify work orders and select and communicate priority work requests
