Overview

Our client, located 30 minutes North of the GTA in Ontario has immediate opportunities for a Material Handler to join their team.

Pay Rate: $22-25/hr + paid Overtime and Shift Premiums

RESPONSIBILITIES/EFFORTS

  • Responsible for all department material movement and support
  • Participate in regular cleanup activities
  • Participate in quick die change process with other team members (Stamping)
  • Load and unload bins from presses & assembly area
  • Load and unload die and transfer conveyers/chutes etc. (Stamping)
  • Safe and efficient coil handling (Stamping)
  • Work collaboratively with all Material Handlers to maintain Raw Materials,
  • Purchased components, WIP and Finished goods storage areas.
  • Responsible for material moving equipment, including minor maintenance;
  • Perform daily crane and tow-motor pre-operational inspections
  • Assist with rework/sorting on non-conforming parts as required
  • Responsible for bin label and tag verification
  • Immediately report any incidents to Supervisor
  • Performs all duties as assigned in accordance with and adherence to the TS 16949 Quality System Standard
  • Follows Policies, Procedures and Work Instructions as outlined in the Quality Systems Manual and Employee Handbook
  • Performs all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, abiding by all health, safety, 5S and Housekeeping guidelines and rules;
  • Reports all unsafe & unhealthy conditions to Management or a member of the
  • Joint Health & Safety Committee
  • Performs other tasks as required

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE/ PREREQUISITES

  • High School Diploma or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 1-2 years material handling experience
  • Current Forklift License

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE

  • Crane operating certificate required
  • Strong organizational & time management skills
