Overview

Our client has an immediate opportunity for a Millwright to join their team.

Wage:  $28.70 – $30.46/hr, weekly attendance bonus $0.88/hr

  • Immediate coverage in benefits
  • Immediate participation in the pension plan (min 3% company contribution) upon hire
  • OT after 40hrs of scheduled work (so including stats and vacation days) and double time Sundays
  • 16hrs of Attendance bank upon hire

Shift: Rotating – 2 weeks days, 2 weeks afternoons, 2 weeks nights

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain all mechanical production equipment and respond to breakdowns
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical issues
  • Make necessary changes to current equipment and assist with new equipment installation and commissioning
  • Perform trouble-shooting of mechanical mechanisms and assemblies, pneumatics / hydraulics / automation and PLC’s
  • Make all necessary mechanical breakdown repairs within the plant /machinery
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair of mechanical equipment (mechanical drives, actuators, conveyors, couplings, etc.)
  • Repair, install and troubleshoot CNC and other various machines and equipment
  • Able to use hand and power tools, gauging devices, and both electrical and electronic test equipment
  • Other duties as assigned in order to meet business objectives

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience working in an automotive or automated manufacturing environment
  • Previous experience utilizing PLC’s, HMI, variable frequency drives, motion control, and CNC equipment
  • Previous experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Proficient with MS Office tools, Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) (i.e. MP2) is required
  • Machining skills (use of lathes, mills, etc.)
  • Welding and fabrication skills
  • Completion of an apprenticeship and technical school training
  • Licensed Industrial Maintenance Mechanic (IMM) (Millwright) with strong working experience
  • Red Seal Accreditation preferred
