Our client located in Brampton, Ontario has an immediate openings for Millwrights

Pay Rate: $42-45/hr based on experience.

Shift: Steady Shifts Days, Afternoons or Nights/ 8 hour shifts

Responsibilities:

• Maintain an inventory of spare parts and fluids required to keep Maintenance program running.
• Limited to Install, examine, replace and repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fibre optic and coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures and other electrical components
• Inspect and verify that all equipment safety devices are in proper and safe operating condition.
• Fabricating for the Press Shop and Tool Room
• Uses machine tools such as lathes and milling machines and fabrication tools such as welders, breaks, presses, power tools and punches.
• Basic Operation of machine tools, such as drills and grinders, to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance and set up of machinery.
• Ensure and maintain a tidy and organized work space.
• Adhere to all obligations and requirements under Section 28 of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
• Attend and participate in all required meetings and ensure the timely communication of information to all other team members.
• Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all company tooling, processes, methods, customer and supplier information and business.
• Keep abreast of, informing management of new technologies and methods.
• Perform other duties as required by Department Manager or General Manager. Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment using common sense practice and the standards and principles of the 5S system.
• Adhere to 5S principles, IATF 16949 standard and all company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Red Seal trade certification required.
• Extensive experience with stamping, presses, welding and assembly equipment including hydraulics, pneumatics, and PLC controls.
• A complete understanding of the preventive maintenance required on production weld and tool room equipment.
• Knowledge of fabricating equipment and processes.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications.
• Ability to troubleshoot.
• Well developed analytical skills.
• Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Comprehensive understanding of lockout/tag out procedures and legislative obligations and requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent English skills both oral and written.
