Overview

Our client, located in Concord Ontario, is looking for an Mold Maker to join their team.

Responsible for servicing production molds including preventative maintenance, modifications and repairs. This position encompasses jigs, fixtures, general machining and the manufacturing end of arm tooling.

Shifts: Days

Pay Rate: $25-37/hr based on level of experience

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Complete training matrix (Mould Maker Trainee)
• Under the guidance and direction of a Senior Team member, the Mould Maker Trainee will learn to:

o Plan and organize efficient work flow for assigned tasks with input from Mould Maker Level 3
o Lay out, machine, fit, assemble, and finish metal parts to make, modify, or repair moulds according to tool design o Interpret the part design into a three-dimensional solid object o Test, repair and deliver moulds, components and tooling
o Verify that customer specifications and company standards are met during the performance of task(s) o Provide input for the non-conformance process to provide accurate, detailed documentation of all issues, nonconformances or constraints that cause rework or tool delay and understand why this has occurred
• Travel internationally as required for training, benchmarking or investigational purposes
• Participate in and support Continuous Improvement and WCM initiatives
• Adhere to applicable quality systems and Support the company Management System (MAFACT, WCM, ISO-9001)
• Perform formal/informal workplace inspections

EDUCATION or EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum completion of Grade 12 diploma
• College diploma in a Trade or Technical Field, or equivalent experience, an asset
• Able to obtain a Crane and Forklift license Experience:
• Experience in the automotive industry preferably in an injection moulding environment, an asset
• Complete training matrix (Mould Maker Trainee) Skills:
• Basic knowledge of mold making/build practices, standards and expectations
• Basic knowledge of NX and GSS software
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) and Outlook, an asset • Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks with good organizational and time management skills
• Results-oriented and able to work under pressure
• Strong listening, verbal and written communication skills Competencies:
